Willy Satay (Restoran SityTom Yam Seafood)

This is my favourite satay stall at the moment.

This stall is really small. One cooker, one cook, and usually one assistant. The owner / cook is a short stocky guy and the stall is just out of the picture above, but you can see the shelf on the lower left corner, where a guy is walking past (blurry). Will get some nicer pix in my next binge trip.

Really tasty, juicy and sweet tender meat. Chicken and beef is offered at 60 sen per stick.
Unlimited peanut sauce, cucumber and red onion. Opens evening till about 10 or so.
Nasi himpit and ketupat is offered usually sells out fast
(My last trip there was about 7.30 pm)

Only way to get here is exit to Taman Bukit Mewah (before Taman Kajang Utama) on the SILK highway. If coming from Jalan Bukit or Jalan Reko, you will need to drive up to the Plaza Toll Bukit Kajang, keeping right and take a U-turn just before the Toll Plaza.
Drive past Bukit Mewah Phase (Fasa) 9 and take second exit on left (Jalan Maju).
Take another left to come to some shops, second left turn (Jalan Seksyen 3/9)  there is a 7Eleven at the corner. A few shops down and you will see Sity Tom Yam on the left.

Other food is on offer from the Sity kitchen, but I have never tried - fried rice, noodles, the usual fare.

The Real Kajang Satay

The main reason I start this page is for people heading towards Kajang, with high hopes and hungry bellies
wanting to taste this super mega famous delicacy
to go get it at the stalls where tradition kept and named
held high with flying honours -

"THE REAL KAJANG SATAY"

Tasty succulent, juicy meat, nutty sauce with spicy sambal.
Served with fresh cut cucumber and red onions.

If you are looking to taste real Kajang Satay,
here are some insider tips :

1. Go for smaller stalls, where the cook is usually the owner.

2. A stall where you can see there is a coal burner and lots of smoke coming from it.

3. You can smell the sweet, succulent barbecued meat from short distance away.

4. Do not go for the most popular named (a name here) because the quality
and taste has declined tremendously.

In the coming weeks and months, I hope to provide pointers to the stalls that are good and tasty with map and location.

Lastly , avoid the major SELLER in Kajang town, it is the worst possible place to go.
For obvious reasons, kindly check this guy's comment , which is harsh but true, to a certain point. As for the urban legend part, I will ignore as I have no proof and will stay away from such things as "my friend saw it" stuff.

They have grown so big and employ so many staff that seem only interested to collect
money and neglect food served. Many a times when I have gone there, they even keep the red onions hidden under counter, which I suspect is because of cost. Even when I asked for it, only to get reply "Sudah habis" (all out). Once, when I persisted, the cashier took out a bag from under the cash machine to put a handful on a plate.

More stories and pix to come.

Be patient, ok?
